Snowpocalypse II

Back in March I woke up and got ready for my morning run but got a rude suprise when I walked outside the door. Little did I know that this would not be the first time I was to see this. I had seen the snow on the ground outside my apartment and my brain went “Fuck”. I ran that morning, trashed my shoes and spent the next 2 hours trying to get to work. This morning… it happened again… kind of.

There had been warnings the last few days about snow last night and when I woke up at 130am and saw nothing out the window I thought to myself, pfft whatever. Woke up at 530am and well… look for yourself:

I learnt my lesson last time and decided not to go for a run but instead just head to the gym. I didn’t feel like trashing another pair of shoes. Unlike last time the snow was a bit thicker and still coming down pretty hard, so had i decided to go for a run I might of been ok because it wasn’t the crappy slush that was around back in march. I made sure though to head to work as quickly as possible to avoid the crappy wait times and traffic snarls but it wasn’t that bad. I was at work within an hour. Some photos from my way to work.

By the time I got home around 730ish (thanks to leaving work late) there was still a good spread of snow on the ground but the rain had set in so it was doubtful it would last overnight. O well.. I can hope it all washes away and by tomorrow morning I can get around without the hassle of snow.
